How to Interpret the Semaphore
Understanding what each verdict means and how to act on it.
Eliminate π΄
ROAS < 1.6x (default threshold)
The campaign is losing money. Every dollar spent returns less than $1.60 in revenue. This is below your break-even point and should be paused immediately.
Action Required:
- Pause or delete the campaign immediately
- Review targeting, creative, or offer
- Consider testing new angles before restarting
Monitor π‘
ROAS 1.6x - 2.2x (default threshold)
The campaign is in the break-even zone. It's not losing money, but it's not profitable either. This requires close monitoring and optimization.
Action Required:
- Monitor daily performance closely
- Test new creatives or audiences
- Reduce budget if performance doesn't improve
- Consider pausing if it stays here for 7+ days
Optimize π’ (Stable)
ROAS 2.2x - 3.0x (default threshold)
The campaign is profitable and performing well. It's generating positive returns and should be maintained or slightly optimized.
Action Required:
- Maintain current budget and strategy
- Monitor weekly for consistency
- Test small optimizations (audiences, creatives)
- Consider scaling if performance improves
Optimize π’ (Scale)
ROAS 3.0x - 4.5x (default threshold)
The campaign is performing exceptionally well. Strong ROAS indicates high profitability and potential for scaling.
Action Required:
- Increase budget by 20-30% gradually
- Scale winning audiences and creatives
- Monitor closely after scaling
- Consider testing similar campaigns
Optimize π (Hyper Scale)
ROAS > 4.5x (default threshold)
Exceptional performance. This campaign is a top performer with outstanding ROAS. Scale aggressively with confidence.
Action Required:
- Scale budget aggressively (30-50% increases)
- Replicate winning elements in new campaigns
- Test broader audiences
- Maximize this opportunity while it lasts

What if my campaign has insufficient data?
Campaigns with less than 3 days of data or less than $30 spent will show as "Gathering". Wait 24-72 hours for meaningful evaluation.
How often should I check my campaigns?
Check daily for campaigns in Eliminate or Monitor status. Weekly reviews are sufficient for Stable campaigns. Scale campaigns should be monitored closely after budget increases.
Can I change the thresholds?
Yes! Pro, Growth, and Enterprise plans allow you to customize ROAS thresholds in your dashboard settings to match your business model.
